Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Benchmark & Gaming

Screenshot_2014-10-04-18-36-29Honestly i was expecting a lot from Snapdragon 410. But as suspected it turned out to be just an incremental update of Snapdragon 400. If you have seen my unboxing video, you might have seen Galaxy Grand Prime’s Antutu score already. It scored just around 2000 points more than Snapdragon 400. The real disappointment however for me at least was the gaming. It really didn’t perform well in that department. It performed even worse than Snapdragonn 400 in some games.

Karbonn Titanium S5 Ultra Benchmark & Gaming Performance

Screenshot_2014-09-28-16-38-37Karbonn Titanium S5 Ultra has the same processor as all of the Android One smartphones. As a result, its scores are almost similar or very close to those phones. Although in some certain benchmarks like the 3D part of the Antutu its fame rate was very bad. While Canvas A1 performed better in that. Titanium S5 Ultra has a slightly high resolution screen than Canvas A1 though so that affects the performance too.

Sony Xperia E3 Benchmark & Gaming Performance

Sony Xperia E3 BenchmarkSony Xperia E3 turned out to be quite the performer in benchmarks. But a phone with Snapdragon 400 chipset and at this price, i didn’t expect it to perform this good. If you look at the antutu screenshot below, you’ll see that it scored 18,000 points. In 3Dmark it was most of the time above 20 FPS, not bad.

Micromax Canvas A1 Benchmark & Gaming Performance

Screenshot_2014-09-19-13-06-19For Rs. 6,000 or $100 you can’t expect better benchmark and gaming performance than Micromax Canvas A1 or any of the three Android One smartphones, from the inside they are all the same after all. And Antutu failed to differentiate between entry level and high end smartphone again maybe because it only reads what’s inside not what the phone actually look like. Wish people were like Antutu too.

Nokia X2 Review – Too Late

Nokia X2 Review Nokia X2 and Semi-Android phones like these could have saved Nokia. I know these are big words. But you never know. If they have launched Android smartphones with their PureView camera technology. It surely would’ve been a big hit. I know that they hated the initial version of Android but to save itself even Apple shook hands with Microsoft at one point. To survive you’ve got to make hard decisions.

Sony Xperia C3 Benchmark & Gaming Performance

Screenshot_2014-08-30-15-54-42Let me a give you a imaginary phone with HD screen, quad-core Cortex A7 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. Now, you tell me what would be its benchmark performance? Mediocre right? Exactly. That’s how Sony Xperia C3 performed in all of the benchmarks. In most of the benchmarks it came dead last compared to some of the latest phone around the same price range. But then again, nobody said this phone is going to be a performance beast. It is supposed to be a ‘selfie’ beast.

Xiaomi Mi3 Benchmark & Gaming Performance

Xiaomi Mi3 benchmarkI have seen quite a few Xiaomi Mi3 smartphones that crossed 35,000 mark in Antutu. But for some reason, my Mi3 was never able to cross it, the highest it could reach is around 30,000. You can see that in the screenshot below. Even after having more than 500MB RAM free, it couldn’t cross the the 35,000 mark. In GFX bench it performed better than all of the smartphones, i’ve ever tested. Then again i have never tested a smartphone with Snapdragon 800 before.
