Well, since i didn’t really talk about the phone or its specs in the unboxing video, i guess it’s just fair to type about it here. This is my second Xiaomi phone. And it is quite in terms of quality. Which is expected because they don’t call, Xiaomi the “Apple of China” for nothing.
First thing that strike me after i took the phone in hands is how slim and light weight it is. And even though it is made of plastic, it still doesn’t feel cheap at all. In fact it feels way better in hand than iPhone 5c which costs almost 10,000 Rupees more than this phone. The secret is the matte finish all around the body except in the front of course, instead of glossy finish.
In the front it has even better Gorilla Glass 3 protecting the full HD IPS LCD display which is quite good. Inside it has second generation Snapdragon 615 chip-set and the only difference between this one and the old one is the clock rate of the four high performance cores, old one was clocked at 1.5 GHz and this new one is clocked at 1.65 almost 1.7GHz, power saving cores also got a bump from 1GHz to 1.2GHz. All 8 cores are Cortex A53 in four(HP) + four(LP) formation. GPU is still the same Adreno 405.
13MP rear facing camera with dual tone LED flash whose clarity is quite good, i must say. And same goes for its 5MP front camera. Storage wise it comes with 16GB of internal storage with no micro SD card slot and 2GB of RAM. Ui is MiUi 6 based on Android Lolipop 5.0.2. Connectivity wise it has dual band WiFi, 4G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and all your usual connectivity features. Battery is 3120 mAh. Price is 13,000 Rupees available currently on Flipkart only. At least in India, can’t say about other countries, Xiaomi said that it is a global phone, so it is going to be launched worldwide shortly.
