Microsoft has launched its 2014 version of Surface Pro tablet. Named Surface Pro 3. Microsoft is selling this tablet with a tagline that says. ‘Tablet that can replace your laptop’. That’s a good thing. It’s only 9.1mm thick. And now it has 12 inches screen with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,440. I would say thinnest full powered PC in the world. It is going to be available in three variants. Core i3, 64 GB, 4GB of RAM for $799, Core i5, 128GB-256GB, 4GB-8GB RAM for $999-$1,299, Core i7, 256GB-512GB, 8GB RAM for $1,549-$1,949. Available to buy in the United States of America only.
It weighs approx 800 grams and Microsoft is saying that you can surf web on this for 9 hours straight. Sadly, it’s not going to be available to buy in India anytime soon. One thing i want to talk about is. During the presentation. The presenter dropped the surface on the floor to show its durability. As you can see in the picture below.
Now, i don’t know if you noticed or not. But the surface is covered with soft carpet. So that wasn’t really a drop test, was it? It would’ve been a real drop test if he had dropped the ‘surface’ on a real surface. Get it? That means a surface made of concrete or something. Geez, you guys are slow.
