I never thought i would buy an IBall device, ever. But then came this. And i just couldn’t resist. It was only 5,000 Rupees and as you all know (and if you didn’t, now you will) that i am a sucker for cheap yet valuable things. And this just screams value from top of the highest peak there is in the world. This ‘value for money’ comes at a price though.

Ridiculous. That’s all i can say. I can’t believe they made this, how can they make something like this? How is that even viable for a company? it’s not like consumers care though, all they want is everything for free. This is as close to free as it could get.
Notion Ink Cain 8 is a tablet that will surprise you in so many ways. I am saying that because i am surprised myself at the capabilities of this tablet. I am not calling it Tablet ‘Computer’ for nothing. Most so called Tablet Computers like Android tablets and iPads are basically just tablets or big size smartphones. But this is really a Tablet Computer. Technically there’s nothing that is possible on a computer but not on this tablet. Notion Ink tried to revolutionize the tablet market with their Adam tablets. But unfortunately that didn’t go as planned and their Android tablets failed miserably. And now they are back with Windows tablets. This time they aren’t trying to revolutionize anything this time they are just trying to sell a good product. And after using Cain 8 i think this time they could succeed. Because it is actually a pretty good product available at a very good price. Cain 8 is a Windows tablet, runs on full Windows 8.1, it couldn’t replace your Laptop or Desktop PC. But it could go very well with them. In short it’s a portable desktop for 10,000 Rupees just not powerful as an actual desktop but much more convenient for people on the go.
So this is what was inside the black box that Nokia was teasing. A tablet. And that too a tablet based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. And it looks pretty good. It has an 7.9 inches IPS LCD display of 2K resolution with Gorilla Glass 3 and it is fully laminated(which is a big thing in India especially when it comes to mobile phones). Although it is not announced for India yet. It is announced to be available in China first at the price of $249.
Notion Ink Cain is a company that is known to make ‘Adam’ tablets. But their Adam tablets weren’t that successful because of pricing and heavily customized Android OS. So now they are making tablets with Windows 8.1 before Cain 8 they launched Notion Ink Cain 2 in 1 an ultrabook/tablet hybrid at a very reasonable price of 20,000 Rupees.
Xolo Win might be the first Windows 8.1 tablet made by an Indian brand. And it’s is available for 19,990 Rupees. Looking at the average price at which most of the Windows 8.1 tablet is available in the Indian market. The price of Xolo Win doesn’t seem that bad. And furthermore you can even exchange your old smartphone or tablet or even your old laptop for a sum of Rs. 3,000(minimum).
