Mysterious Avengers: Doomsday Poster Teases Doctor Doom’s Secret Magical Allies

Marvel fans have a fresh mystery to dissect ahead of the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday. A new promotional poster unveiled at Comic-Con Málaga has sent the internet into overdrive, showcasing Doctor Doom alongside three mysterious, cloaked figures. Positioned behind Doom on a grand staircase—presumably within his sovereign nation of Latveria—these three characters have been colloquially dubbed the “Latverian Witches.”

While Marvel Studios has kept plot details heavily guarded, the visual of these three color-coded witches suggests they will play a pivotal role in helping Doom execute his multiversal ambitions. Rather than introducing entirely new entities, the prevailing theory among industry insiders and fans is that these witches are actually familiar Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) faces operating under Doom’s thrall or alliance.

Who Are the Latverian Witches?

The magical corner of the MCU offers several prime candidates. High on the list of suspects are Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch), Clea, and Sylvie, all of whom have established ties to the multiverse and powerful magic. Other compelling theories point toward characters from the mystical side of Disney+, such as Agatha Harkness, Jennifer Kale, or even Death, whose magical capabilities align perfectly with Doom’s dark aesthetic.

With Marvel historically tight-lipped about major plot twists, official confirmation regarding the identities of these Latverian Witches is unlikely to drop before the movie’s theatrical debut. For now, the poster serves as a brilliant piece of viral marketing, ensuring that speculation surrounding Doctor Doom’s grand scheme remains at an all-time high.
