Hugh Jackman has been selected by Micromax, currently the second biggest smartphone manufacturer in India as brand ambassador to promote its products especially smartphones and more importantly its Canvas series. Hugh Jackman is no small name when it comes to international film industry(Even if somebody in India or anywhere in world don’t know who Hugh Jackman is, I am damn sure they do know who “Wolverine” is), which raises a question, is Micromax betting to go beyond Asian or Indian shores and trying to go truly international, say including Australia, America, Europe on their sales radar? Well, only Micromax and Time(as in literally, not the magazine) will tell. Currently he is teasing a new Canvas phone in a teaser video called “Canvas Turbo”

New Game From The Makers Of Angry Birds
Rovio, the makers of Angry Birds have revealed a new game for mobile platforms called “Angry Birds Go”. I think its short for Go kart because Angry Birds Go is a racing game just like mario kart and various racing games you’ve played before, but instead of Mario and Sonic you will get Birds and Pigs. Anyways, the game is going to come out for iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8 and Blackberry 10 OS on 11th of December.
The official prices of iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s in India are out and they don’t sound that good but i am going to tell you anyways, Reliance or RCom and Bharti Airtel or just Airtel both going to offer iPhone 5c starting at 41,900 Rupees and iPhone 5s starting at more than half a lakh Rupees, to be precise 5s is priced at 54,000 Rupees. If you are interested in either of the device at the prices that you’ve just read, then be my guest and run to your nearest Airtel or RCom store to “pre register” one, i never knew there’s a thing called “pre – registeration” in this world, i mean like registration is already kind-off pre booking your thing in advance, confirming that you will get the thing no matter what. By the way, the official release date of both the iPhones in India is 1st of November 2013 and if you are interested in buying the iPhone 5c
Sony Xperia C Review
Sony Xperia C is not one of those 5 inch screen phone which you can buy for around 12,000 Rupees. It’s different, what’s different you ask? Well, first of all its a Sony phone and anything which is Sony does not come cheap, Xperia M is an exception. You are paying 20,000 Rupees for Sony’s name here. The processor inside this phone, you can find it in any Quad-core sub 10,000 rupees phone, and not only that for as much as 8,000 Rupees less you can get HD 720p display, So then why is Sony asking for 20,000 Rupees for this phone? That’s what i am going to tell you about in this review, I am going to break down different aspects of a phone like hardware, software, camera and much more in small chunks of words so that you can digest it easily without scratching your head.
The benchmark performance of Sony Xperia C was too predictable because of its chipset. The Mediatek MTK 6589 chipset gives a very consistent performance in benchmarks, like always. The performance of Sony Xperia C was a little higher than Canvas 4 and other 5 inch screen phones with HD screens though, because of its qHD display. Only benchmark that didn’t run well or perform well was 3DMark which is a benchmark mainly for gaming and it ran on HD resolution. Rest of the benchmarks run well because then ran on Xperia C’s native qHD resolution. Although there are other things that effects benchmark performance too like speed of Micro SD card or how full your memory is. So all of it doesn’t depends on CPU and GPU alone.
Breaking News : Twitter’s Event Parrot
Twitter has revealed its own ‘Breaking News’ system called “Event Parrot” just like a real parrot, this will tell you whatever you teach it. Well, not exactly but its still the same system, instead of you, there’s twitter and taking the place of a parrot is twitter’s digital parrot. In place of useless blabbering this event parrot will tell you about what’s happening in the world or most likely what’s ‘breaking’ in the world, breaking as in the news, not literally , sometimes ‘breaking news’ becomes quite literal though. Breaking News in only 140 alphabets, not bad. All you have to do is follow the event parrot on twitter and it will alerts all its followers with the latest and the greatest. This might the first parrot in the world which ‘tweets’.
Sony Xperia C Unboxed
Sony Xperia C is a big device and not only just the screen, Its chassis, its bezel, everything. Its quite heavy too weighs at 153 grams and i found something a little interesting, every Sony Xperia C is going to be Dual Sim so there’s only one version of this phone that is going to be available worldwide and that is Dual Sim, and one of the Sim slot supports WCDMA and GSM both (One at a time) and the other Sim slot only supports GSM. That means you can use one WCDMA Sim and one GSM Sim both at same time, something you won’t find usually in these dual Sim phones.
