For 10,000 Rupees name one phone that is not from a ‘local brand’ and which could come close to this phone in terms of performance? That’s right, there is none. There’s no phone from the ‘traditional’ smartphone makers like Samsung, Sony that could compete with this phone performance wise. And that is also the reason why people are preferring local branded phones over those non performing over priced phones from international companies.

Notion Ink Cain 8 is a tablet that will surprise you in so many ways. I am saying that because i am surprised myself at the capabilities of this tablet. I am not calling it Tablet ‘Computer’ for nothing. Most so called Tablet Computers like Android tablets and iPads are basically just tablets or big size smartphones. But this is really a Tablet Computer. Technically there’s nothing that is possible on a computer but not on this tablet. It also have an issue which is kind of obvious because nothing is perfect in this world. To find out what the issue is read on.
Notion Ink Cain 8 Unboxing
Notion Ink tried to revolutionize the tablet market with their Adam tablets. But unfortunately that didn’t go as planned and their Android tablets failed miserably. And now they are back with Windows tablets. This time they aren’t trying to revolutionize anything this time they are just trying to sell a good product. And after using Cain 8 i think this time they could succeed. Because it is actually a pretty good product available at a very good price. Cain 8 is a Windows tablet, runs on full Windows 8.1, it couldn’t replace your Laptop or Desktop PC. But it could go very well with them. In short it’s a portable desktop for 10,000 Rupees just not powerful as an actual desktop but much more convenient for people on the go.
So this is what was inside the black box that Nokia was teasing. A tablet. And that too a tablet based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. And it looks pretty good. It has an 7.9 inches IPS LCD display of 2K resolution with Gorilla Glass 3 and it is fully laminated(which is a big thing in India especially when it comes to mobile phones). Although it is not announced for India yet. It is announced to be available in China first at the price of $249.
Karbonn Titanium S5 Ultra’s unique selling point is its 5 inch screen. And also its price. For 7,000 Rupees you are getting exactly or maybe slightly better hardware than Canvas A1 but what you are not getting is the same software support. Which has become quite a big thing in India recently. And that is not the only downside of this phone it has a few more.
Karbonn Titanium S5 Ultra has the same processor as all of the Android One smartphones. As a result, its scores are almost similar or very close to those phones. Although in some certain benchmarks like the 3D part of the Antutu its fame rate was very bad. While Canvas A1 performed better in that. Titanium S5 Ultra has a slightly high resolution screen than Canvas A1 though so that affects the performance too.
Karbonn Titanium S5 Ultra is very balanced smartphone with a 5 inch screen. I am calling it balanced because most smartphone with a 5 inch screen under 7,000 Rupees usually don’t have 1GB RAM, or maybe don’t have a decent chipset or maybe comes with a very bad resolution screen. But Karbonn Titanium S5 Ultra phone has a decent screen, decent chipset and 1GB of RAM.
