Micromax wrapped up its conference and unveiled Micromax Canvas Nitro A310. And, now it’s time for it to go against it competition which clearly is Xiaomi Redmi Note. Although there are other phones with similar specs available for around the same price, like Karbonn Octane and Karbonn Octane Plus. But in this comparison lets see how the newly launched Canvas Nitro stack up against Xiaomi’s octa-core offering.
Sony Xperia C3 is a case of beauty outside but ugly inside. When you look at it and hold it for the first time, you might think that this phone in no way could cost around 23,000 Rupees(Approx $370). But it does. That’s where the saying “Looks can be deceiving” comes in. This phone is being sold by Sony with a tagline that says “World’s best selfie smartphone” which means it’s for the people that are conscious about their looks, so obviously the phone should look good too.
Let me a give you a imaginary phone with HD screen, quad-core Cortex A7 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. Now, you tell me what would be its benchmark performance? Mediocre right? Exactly. That’s how Sony Xperia C3 performed in all of the benchmarks. In most of the benchmarks it came dead last compared to some of the latest phone around the same price range. But then again, nobody said this phone is going to be a performance beast. It is supposed to be a ‘selfie’ beast.
Sony Xperia C3 Unboxing
Sony Xperia C3 is a smartphone with a 5MP front facing camera and LED flash. And that’s it. Nothing more nothing less. Sony is advertising it as a selfie phone. Which is a good thing because this phone doesn’t have anything else other than that feature. Its got pretty ‘used-to’ specs. Used-to as in you people have heard or used phones with these specs a lot.
If yes, then why? And if this price reducing trend continues then i am pretty sure whenever Xiaomi Redmi Note launches it is going to be 1,000 Rupees cheaper. Which means it is going to cost 9,000 Rupees not 10,000, even better. Anyway, coming back to the question, why? When Xiaomi Mi3 first launched it became a no brainer at that price. But Redmi 1s is not. Let me tell you why.
Flipkart has managed to snag yet another exclusive deal. This time its with Samsung. A much bigger name than Xiaomi at least for now. Samsung should know though that these kind of deals only work when the product is priced right. If they price Samsung Galaxy S5 mini anything more than 20,000 Rupees, it’s not going to sell like hot cakes.
