While i was unboxing the Motorola Moto E, i was quite angry because i might be first person to order the phone at midnight that day. I literally ordered it at 12:07 AM. Don’t believe me? Look at the screenshot below. But still, I received it today 17th of may, 2014. Why? the curse of living in second or third tier city. Flipkart don’t provide one day delivery in such cities.
Anyway, there was another shocker while i was unboxing the phone. It turns out that Moto E does not come with data cable. Cost cutting or not, that was a dumb move. Let me explain why. If they just assumed that everyone, now a days has a smartphone so obviously they also possess a data cable. Could be right. But what about first time buyers? They didn’t take that in to consideration and straight ahead went and cut the cable out of the box contents.
If they just assumed that everyone now a days has a smartphone, why bother putting even earphones and charger in the box. Everyone already have those too, eh Motorola/Google? My theory says they don’t want you to connect your phone to the PC ever. They want you to download everything from Google play store or online. Nice thinking Google. Or it might just be yield of my evil mind. Whom knows?
