HTC Desire 616 is a smartphone that is destined to be overlooked at least by Indian consumers. Because they are already being spoilt by several Indian smartphone companies. Which not only offer the same octa core processor but also much more for more or less the same price. Like 2GB RAM, more internal storage, bigger battery, better screen, bigger camera(in terms of megapixel). Comparatively, HTC Desire 616 comes with only 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
Short answer, very hard. Long answer, they don’t exist. Okay, that wasn’t very long either. But anyway! The point is 50,000 – 60,000 Rupees(Approx $800 – $1000) price segment is not actually high end when it comes to Laptops but it’s not budget segment either, it is at least mid-high segment. And for that price companies don’t even give 1600×900 resolution screen let alone full HD screen. Smartphones around 20,000 Rupees have Full HD display now a days.
The Indian effect
As you can see in the photo above Xiaomi Mi3 is sitting at second spot on Gsmarena’s homepage, in its popularity/ranking widget. The thing to notice here is, before Xiaomi Mi3 was launched in India, it was nowhere in that list, not even at the last spot. And just days after Xiaomi announced its availability and very aggressive price in India. It is suddenly at second number now. Whom knows? it might even hit top spot in the upcoming days.
Micromax Canvas HD Plus A190 is a decent smartphone. It’s over all price to performance ratio is pretty good. There are some downsides too in this phone. But you really can not expect everything at 12,000 Rupees. This 10,000 – 15,000 Rupees price bracket is so active in India right now. People are expecting more and more from less. Less is the money here. Canvas HD Plus somehow delivers on that.
Benchmark performance of Micromax Canvas HD Plus was decent. In one of the benchmarks, it even beat the Samsung Galaxy S4, in just one benchmark though. But, still not bad for a phone that costs only 12,000 Rupees. Antutu again mistook another budget phone as a high end smartphone just because of the powerful chipset inside it. As you can already tell by the image above
Micromax Canvas HD Plus A190 is a phone with 5 inch screen and a Hexa core processor. Now, you might ask what’s so special about it? Well it’s the price. You can buy this phone for around 12,000 Rupees. Which is not bad for phone with these specs. Usually all the phones around this price range are Quad core phones. And this Hexa core processor is the exactly the same as its Octa core brother. Just two cores less.
If i remember correctly Xperia M can only be partially rooted because of locked boot loader. You can neither install any recovery or custom rom on the device due to locked boot loader. Now, i don’t have Xperia M anymore but if you have it and want to unlock its full potential, you can try to do so. Just don’t blame me if anything happens to it though, as usual. Safety first.
