Like i said, don’t expect too much. Moto E is one of those phones in which you get what you pay for. Nothing more, nothing less. Although Moto E does gives you something more in terms of build quality, it has a Corning Gorilla Glass
protection over its LCD. A feature you won’t find in many smartphones under this price range. It also has qHD display, something you don’t get under 7,000 Rupees. Most of the phones have WVGA display in that price range.
You can’t expect much from Moto E in terms of performance. It’s one of those situations in which you should just gladly accept what you are getting for the money. Although, despite of being a budget device it still managed to beat HTC One X, which is not a budget device by any means. During 3DMark test something unusual was happening. The device keeps hitting 30FPS for brief moments in some segments of the test.
Moto E Unboxed
While i was unboxing the Motorola Moto E, i was quite angry because i might be first person to order the phone at midnight that day. I literally ordered it at 12:07 AM. Don’t believe me? Look at the screenshot below. But still, I received it today 17th of may, 2014. Why? the curse of living in second or third tier city. Flipkart don’t provide one day delivery in such cities.
If you pre order Huawei Honor 3C for Rs. 14,999 from flipkart, you will get free RCB goodies and also 1,500 Rupees cashback. Specs wise this phone is nothing extra ordinary. Its just yet another smartphone with 5 inch HD IPS display and Quadcore processor. The chipset or ‘SOC’ is MTK 6582, which means Quadcore Cortex A7 and Mali 400MP2 GPU. Apart from that it has 8MP rear facing camera with LED flash, auto focus and BSI sensor. It also supports Full HD recording. It has 2GB of RAM.
ZTE is the same company that made the very popular ‘Idea Blade’ which was nothing but renamed ZTE Blade, it was pretty good for its price back in the time. Now, this Blade G2(V880H) might be the cheapest quad core phone that i have seen or maybe the cheapest quad core phone in the world. And the rest of its specs are not that bad either. Hell, I would say they are more than you could ask for under 5,000 Rupees. A price at which it is available right now on Snapdeal.
HTC One mini 2 is just yet another phone with Snapdragon 400 processor. Or you could say that it is a worthless mini of a worthy flagship. All ‘minis’ should learn a thing from Xperia Z1 Compact. That a mini doesn’t mean you should minimize the performance too. A mini means just minimize it in size. But no, some companies think that people are dumb in this world, they don’t read into the phone specs and just buy ’cause it’s a mini of a flagship.
Nokia XL the big brother of Nokia X and Nokia X+ is now available to buy on Themobilestore also on Snapdeal for around Rs. 11,000. The only difference between this and rest of the X series phones are the screen size, RAM size and Camera. Although X+ also has the same amount of RAM as XL. It has got 5 inches TFT LCD dispay with WVGA resolution, 768MB RAM. It run on AOSP(Android Open Source Project), which is nothing but Android without Google services or apps.
