Looking at the track record of Samsung. I would say, Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is reasonably priced for what it offers. It has got the latest mid-range chipset from Snapdragon. The Snapdragon 410 which has quadcore Cortex A53 CPU and Adreno 306 GPU. With time its going to become an even better deal because Samsung’s smartphone prices usually falls pretty fast.
And this is not even the main feature of this phone. It’s the front camera. Galaxy Grand prime contains a 5MP ‘selfie’ camera. Of which Samsung is going to advertise the hell out in India this festive season. That is the sole reason why they launched it in India first with a competitive price. Although for me it was the new processor/chipset that made me buy this phone. Not the camera.
Apart from all that it has 5 inches TFT LCD display of qHD resolution which despite of being TFT in nature isn’t that bad. And surprisingly the colour doesn’t wash out when you view the screen close to 180 degree angle. It’s definitely better than Sony TFT displays. Like the one in the Xperia SP and Xperia C. And rest of the noticeable features are Dual sim, 3G, WiFi, 2600 mAh battery. You can see more in the video below.
