I wonder why Sony launched this phone? Especially at the MRP of Rs. 37,990(Approx $560) although you can buy it for around Rs. 32,000 – 34,000($500) in the market currently. But still, it’s like Sony sent a soldier from their cavalry to fight a war without any ammunition. In other words ‘dead on arrival’.
Now at that price, it’s neither a mid range nor a flagship phone as it’s over priced(as always the case with Sony) for one category and slightly under priced for the people that don’t even count before spending. The reason they don’t count is because they use credit card, duh.
I wanted this phone but i didn’t want to spend that much on it, so i got it from eBay for around Rs. 25,000(Approx $380). And for that price it’s like the best phone money can buy right now, but for its MRP the only word came out of my mouth was ‘nah’. You won’t get manufacturer warranty if you buy it the way i bought it but you will still get 1 year seller warranty. In short, you have to take care of the phone yourself.
Here are some key specs of the phone, 5 inch full HD IPS LCD display with Mobile Bravia Engine blah blah, you get it. 21 MP rear facing auto focus camera with 4K and Slo-mo video recording, 13 MP front facing camera, a powerful Mediatek MT6795 chip-set, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage(expandable), 2600 mAh battery, 4G, dual SIM/Nano SIM, water roof and dust proof up to a limit.
