Comedy Central banned in India! Don’t worry it’s banned for only 10 days from 25-5-2013 to 04-06-2013. Now the question which is haunting everyone why it got banned, and the question which hit me first time i saw the message on the channel that what have i done wrong to deserve this.
Well it’s banned or suspended for showing obscene (suggestive content vulgar remarks against women in shows like “Stand Up Club” and “Popcorn TV”) content which is according to ministry of information and broadcasting of India is intolerable cause it denigrate women although it showed the content last year this case been in the court since last year but Comedy Central lost it just now, so as a result or punishment i guess Viacomm 18 has to keep the channel off air for 10 days.
Now, The Ministry of information and broadcasting in India should look at the numbers of item songs release in India every year why don’t they find them “denigrating women” i think they like it cause they can understand it while comedy central shows toilet humor (which i prefer ’cause it tells the truth in a hard way) in pure English which i think they couldn’t understand so they say lets ban it. I would pick toilet humor over “item songs” any day.
