Nokia XL the big brother of Nokia X and Nokia X+ is now available to buy on Themobilestore also on Snapdeal for around Rs. 11,000. The only difference between this and rest of the X series phones are the screen size, RAM size and Camera. Although X+ also has the same amount of RAM as XL. It has got 5 inches TFT LCD dispay with WVGA resolution, 768MB RAM. It run on AOSP(Android Open Source Project), which is nothing but Android without Google services or apps.
The main weak link of this phone is its processor, for 11,000 Rupees you are going to get a dual core Cortex A5 processor and Adreno 203GPU. Even Chinese phone makers don’t use this processor inside their entry level devices. They use at least a dual core Cortex A7.
The only good thing about this phone is its camera, it has a 5MP camera with LED flash and also a 2MP front camera. X and X+ does not have front facing camera by the way. Since Nokia’s phone cameras are generally good in terms of picture quality. I believe that’s why they are asking for such a price for this phone, only because of its camera quality. I will believe it when i see it though.
