Nokia XL has a lot of limitations like it’s weak chip-set, it is Android but without Google apps and things like that. Although you can remove some of these limitations by rooting it. But keep in mind that it won’t increase its performance in the long run. Because the hardware of this phone can only perform so much. I am going to tell you how you can root your Nokia XL the easy way. By rooting it you can install custom ROMs on it and what not. By the way, you don’t have to root this phone just to install some Android app on it. You can install APK directly on this phone without rooting.
There are two ways available to root Nokia XL as of right now.
1. Framaroot method
2. Nokia X Manager
In the first method, all you have to do is just download and install the ‘framaroot app’ and run it on your Nokia XL. And then select either of the two rooting method. To download and know how to use framaroot app just look this post – how to root Sony Xperia M
In the second method unlike the first one you’ll need to connect your phone to the PC. Nokia X manager is a rooting software made by ‘AngSanley’ & his fellow conributors of the XDA developers. To download the software just follow this link – Nokia X Manager
The software is pretty straight forward when you download and install it, you’ll know what you have to do.
You can install TWRP(Team Win Recovery Project) a touch supportive recovery it is an alternative of Clockwork mod recovery. You can also install Gapps trough the X Manager. Keep the software in case you decide to unroot the device. For more just visit this XDA thread.
