The benchmark performance of Sony Xperia C was too predictable because of its chipset. The Mediatek MTK 6589 chipset gives a very consistent performance in benchmarks, like always. The performance of Sony Xperia C was a little higher than Canvas 4 and other 5 inch screen phones with HD screens though, because of its qHD display. Only benchmark that didn’t run well or perform well was 3DMark which is a benchmark mainly for gaming and it ran on HD resolution. Rest of the benchmarks run well because then ran on Xperia C’s native qHD resolution. Although there are other things that effects benchmark performance too like speed of Micro SD card or how full your memory is. So all of it doesn’t depends on CPU and GPU alone.
Here’s a list of benchmarks that i ran:
Here are the results/score:
Gaming performance of this phone was predictable too, as i’ve tested three phones with the same chipset before so i was expecting it to perform well. Only game which didn’t perform well was Gangstar 4 or Gangstar Vegas, it didn’t run well on Canvas 4 either. Asphalt 8 for my surprise ran without any hiccups although i was expecting it to be choppy just like Gangastar Vegas but it wasn’t, they both have high resolution textures and very high quality of lighting and all that but still Asphalt 8 didn’t lag at all.
GTA Vice City Ran without any hiccups with everything on max except for brightness. Real Racing 3 is very well optimized game it runs well on anything with a respectable GPU don’t believe see my gaming video of Xperia M. So its a given that it would perform well on Xperia C. Nova 3 with HD textures and lighting ran without any problems. Watch the video below to see for yourself.
