Oh, Snapdragon 400 when will leave us alone? Sony Xperia T3 is the newest Xperia that is launched by Sony. It has got everything right from HD Triluminous display to a very slim body. But! Snapdragon 400! Even the last year’s Mediatek MTK6589 is better than this SOC. How hard is that to understand? Dammit! A serious suggestion to all the companies out there. Please stop putting this SOC inside your 20,000-25,000 Rupees phone. It’s not worth that price at all!

The recently launched Alcatel Onetouch Idol X+ is now available to buy exclusively on flipkart.com. It is available for the price of 16,999 Rupees. Which is not a bad price looking at the specs of this phone. It also makes this phone the direct competitor of Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus. It has got an ‘edge-to-edge’ 5 inch full HD IPS LCD display. With scratch and smudge resistant coating. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for further protection of the screen.
Look at the picture above and imagine you are that guy in the photo. It sure is nightmare worthy. But Samsung on the other hand thinks it is practical. Otherwise they wouldn’t have made this phone. Yes, it is a phone, it is called Samsung W. Now. for a person like me whom finds even a 5 inch screen phone uncomfortable to put in the pant’s pocket, this is too much. I am sure there are people in this world that might like this phone and find it ‘cool’. But i sure found it downright impractical.
Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus which was announced back in April is now available to buy, online. Karbonn launched two Octa-core and one Hexa-core phones back then. Out of which Karbonn Titanium Hexa is available to buy exclusively at Amazon.in. It is currently sold out. The cheapest out of all three, Karbonn Titanium Octane is not available to buy anywhere as of yet. The one here is the most expensive and feature packed out of all three.
HTC Desire 816 is getting really popular lately because of its specs and price. It has got a 5.5 inches SLCD HD screen. Snapdragon 400 SOC clocked at 1.6 GHz, 1.5 GB RAM and what not. But there’s another phone that is just like Desire 816 and it has got an even bigger screen. Sony Xperia T2 Ultra. Now, this one has 6 inches HD LCD screen, same Snapdragon 400 chipset but clocked at 1.4GHz, 1GB RAM, you can read the table below for full specs of both the phones.
This phone is a beast in the 7,000 Rupees category. Period. It is the best phone you could buy right now under 7,000 Rupees. Period. It can play high end games at high setting. Period. OK, now that’s a lot of periods. But, seriously this phone took me by surprise. That’s why i am typing like this. When i like a phone, it doesn’t matter what brand it is from or how much it is available at. I will praise it. It is one of the few phones that has the mixture of right specs in the right form factor at the right price.
If you see the photo above, you’ll notice that Antutu think the smartphone in the picture is an expensive high end smartphone. I don’t know why is that? But one thing i can tell you that despite of being very inexpensive, this phone performs pretty good in the benchmarks. It even beat HTC One X in Antutu. What else do you want from a 7,000 Rupees phone. The Antutu benchmark that i ran on this phone wasn’t the normal version. It was the ‘X’ version of it and still managed to score pretty respectively.
