Moto E the latest offering from Motorola has been launched in India. For a price of Rs. 6,999. That’s just 1 rupee less than 7,000. It is going to be available exclusively from Flipkart starting from midnight of 13th may, 2014. In terms of specs, looking at that price point, i won’t hold my breath. This phone has already been beaten by a couple of phones in terms of price and performance both. Lava Iris 406Q and Karbonn Titanium S1 Plus.
I know that it must have been hard on Nokia to get sold like a fish from fish market to the highest bidder, which was Microsoft in this case. But that doesn’t mean, Nokia should lose all its mind and start making worthless piece of junk like Nokia Lumia 630. This is the first Lumia that is launched in India by Nokia after the Microsoft acquisition.
You might’ve already heard that Moto X is coming to India via Flipkart. Now, there’s no doubt that Moto G was a huge success in India. The reason of that was its price point, around 12,000 Rs that phone shows great value for money and that’s what Indian consumers look for, always. Coming back to Moto X, it could be a little tricky for Flipkart to repeat the same feat it achieved with Moto G, because of Moto X’ price. The reason is, Moto X is still available in USA for around $400 that roughly translates to 24,000 Rs. That means it’s going to be available for around 25,000 Rs in India. Which is not a good price looking at the specs of the phone. Around 25,000 Rs there are more powerful phones like Xperia Zl, Xperia ZR, Nexus 4 and even a Snapdragon 800 phone like Gionee E7 available in the market.
Just after CES, Sony has announced two new Xperia phone. One very small and one very big, just like the name of Sony’s own video game, Little Big Planet. They could have announced them at CES after all they deserve the limelight. The picture you are seeing above is of the biggie named Xperia T2 Ultra(when did they launch T1?), the main unique selling point of this phone is its big 6 inches HD Triluminous display.
Have you seen any cricket match lately on TV in India? Did you notice that Micromax is currently running a campaign about one of it’s new phones. This phone is not released or even announced yet but Micromax is advertising it with a tagline which says “Mad about ads?”. So out of curiosity, i dig a little here and there on the internet, and i now finally know what this phone and tagline is about.
Out of all the news coming out of CES, what i am so excited about is the news that actually didn’t come out of CES. This new leak about Nokia’s android powered Normandy smartphone presented to you by none other than famous twitter news leaking parrot named “evleaks”. As you can see in the picture above, It shows the user interface of the phone, which is actually android OS tailored by Nokia according to it’s liking. So, obviously this is not going to have Google services but this is android we are talking about here it wouldn’t take someone long to unlock all that by rooting the phone.

This recently released jailbreak will free your iDevices upto iOS 7.0.4 from Apple restrictions and the best part is, its untethered meaning you can completely turn off your device and still wont lose the jailbreak. There’s a catch though, not all Cydia tweaks are available and/or won’t be compatible with iOS 7 yet.
