While i was unboxing the Motorola Moto E, i was quite angry because i might be first person to order the phone at midnight that day. I literally ordered it at 12:07 AM. Don’t believe me? Look at the screenshot below. But still, I received it today 17th of may, 2014. Why? the curse of living in second or third tier city. Flipkart don’t provide one day delivery in such cities.
ZTE is the same company that made the very popular ‘Idea Blade’ which was nothing but renamed ZTE Blade, it was pretty good for its price back in the time. Now, this Blade G2(V880H) might be the cheapest quad core phone that i have seen or maybe the cheapest quad core phone in the world. And the rest of its specs are not that bad either. Hell, I would say they are more than you could ask for under 5,000 Rupees. A price at which it is available right now on Snapdeal.
Nokia XL the big brother of Nokia X and Nokia X+ is now available to buy on Themobilestore also on Snapdeal for around Rs. 11,000. The only difference between this and rest of the X series phones are the screen size, RAM size and Camera. Although X+ also has the same amount of RAM as XL. It has got 5 inches TFT LCD dispay with WVGA resolution, 768MB RAM. It run on AOSP(Android Open Source Project), which is nothing but Android without Google services or apps.
Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 and Sony Xperia M2 are two very different looking phones. But performance wise they are like twin brothers. Their chipset is exactly the same. Price is somewhat similar. Both phones are from big brands. I am going to compare both these phones spec by spec to see which comes out on top. So, that you could decide better.
I know that it must have been hard on Nokia to get sold like a fish from fish market to the highest bidder, which was Microsoft in this case. But that doesn’t mean, Nokia should lose all its mind and start making worthless piece of junk like Nokia Lumia 630. This is the first Lumia that is launched in India by Nokia after the Microsoft acquisition.
Sony Xperia M2, the successor of Xperia M is not going to be as successful as Xperia M. Reason is simple. Its price. Sony doubled the price but forgot to double the performance of Xperia M2. For example it has the same GPU as Xperia M. Although they did double the internal storage from 4GB to 8GB and also the processor. Xperia M has dual core Cortex A7 CPU while Xperia M2 has Quadcore Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz. Not high enough looking at the price point. Sony just became the second best smartphone selling company in India
Looking at the price point. I wouldn’t call the benchmark performance of Xperia M2 good. But here’s the thing. The processor inside this phone can only perform this much. Increasing the price of the phone wouldn’t increase the performance of the phone. It runs on Snapdragon 400 chipset, which has quadcore Cortex A7 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. A combination that does not worth 20,000 Rupees. This chipset belongs to phones below 15,000 Rupees. Moto G has the same chipset and just look at its price.
